What makes this new addition so special? It isn’t human. Instead, it is the ARTAS Robotic Hair Transplant System, a state of the art system designed to help both doctors and patients achieve the best possible hair transplant.
The ARTAS System analyzes the patient’s donor area, identifying optimal hairs for use in the transplant. The follicles are then selectively harvested with robotic precision and transplanted into the balding areas by the surgeon, preserving the natural look of the donor area and resulting in a scar-free, minimally invasive procedure.
“Robotic hair restoration has significantly advanced in the last two years, to the point where it can provide the same quality grafts that we get using other devices,” says Dr. Parsa Mohebi.

The robot is also extremely effective. Though Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) procedures generally last between eight and ten hours, ARTAS can cut the operating time down to six to eight hours.
“The ARTAS System can remove more than 2,000 grafts in a day,” says Dr. Mohebi. “The number is expected to improve as new software updates happen in the coming months, which will allow us to extract even more in a shorter time period.”
Additionally, patients concerned about a price increase have nothing to worry about. The ARTAS System will cost the same as a standard FUE procedure from Dr. Mohebi, but will reduce operating and recovery time.
