Hair Club Continues Sponsorship of the Trichotillomania Learning Center for 11th Year
Hair Club marks its 11th year of partnership with the Trichotillomania Learning Center (TLC) as title sponsor of the organization’s 21st Annual National Conference, to take place April 25-27, 2014 at the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel in Los Angeles, CA.
As North America’s largest provider of all proven hair restoration services, Hair Club offers unrivaled expertise in treating men and women experiencing hair loss due to a range of diseases and disorders, including trichotillomania, a disorder that causes people to pull out their hair.
Since its founding in 1976, Hair Club has helped more than 500,000 men, women and children regain their self-confidence through proven hair restoration treatments.
During that time, Hair Club has offered support to a number of non-profits working to help those suffering from hair loss as a result of disease or medical treatment, including The Children’s Alopecia Project, The American Cancer Society and TLC.
TLC’s Annual Conference is the only multi-disciplinary conference in the world that focuses specifically on hair pulling disorder, skin picking disorder and related Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs).
The conference offers a comprehensive schedule of seminars by the world’s leading experts in this field, providing education and inspiration to hundreds of sufferers of all ages, researchers and treatment professionals.
“The TLC Annual Conference provides a life-changing opportunity for those suffering with trichotillomania or skin picking disorder to break the deep isolation these disorders can cause, find friendship and support and learn about treatment and recovery from the world’s top experts,” explains Jennifer Raikes, TLC Executive Director. “We would not be able to do it without the longstanding, generous sponsorship of the Hair Club for Men and Women.
With their sincere, enthusiastic and loyal involvement in our education and outreach efforts, Hair Club has become a cherished part of the TLC community.”
Hair Club not only supports TLC financially but also has a physical presence at the conference which always generates an overwhelmingly
positive reaction to the ways in which Hair Club supports the “trich” community. Hair Club will be offering on-site information for trichotillomania sufferers and demonstrating the company’s range of treatment options, including its proprietary non-surgical hair replacement process.
Further, the company will be representing its charitable program, Hair Club for Kids, which provides complimentary hair restoration services for children aged 6-17 experiencing hair loss due to a range of diseases and disorders, including cancer, trichotillomania, and alopecia.
“Hair Club’s sponsorship enables individuals, who otherwise may not have the means to attend, to experience the life changing event that is the Annual National Conference,” says Bob Goupil , Hair Club Director-National Contact Center. “The conference provides participants, through various social events and educational break-out sessions, with information about treatments, products and services that may be of assistance to the trichotillomania community,” says Goupil.
