August is Hair Loss Awareness Month. Theradome® Inc. Highlights Empowering Facts About Hair Loss for Women

Theradome Inc., a leader in light-based therapy for hair restoration, marks National Hair Loss Awareness Month 2017 with an information and empowerment campaign for the nearly 30 million women in the United States who experience androgenetic alopecia, or hair loss.

As part of the Hope After Hair Loss initiative, the goal is to reach 1 million women with a new “Hair Loss and Women: The Facts” infographic, which dispels common myths and misconceptions about female androgenetic alopecia and encourages women to seek a professional consultation to take action against the condition.

“Not Just for the Guys”

Female Pattern Hair Loss affects 1 in 6 women in their thirties and almost half of women in their sixties.

Despite being this common, education and information about female androgenetic alopecia is scarce, particularly when compared to male pattern baldness. “It’s very important that women experiencing hair loss see a positive, empowering message,” says Theradome’s CEO, Tamim Hamid. “This starts with real, helpful information about the signs and causes of hair loss and continues with the knowledge that there are experienced professionals out there who can help.”

“You’re Not Alone”

A critical message of the Hope After Hair Loss campaign is that women who experience hair loss are not alone. Tens of millions of women in the United States share this experience.

Further, modern medical technology offers a number of safe, effective and reliable ways to address the issue head-on. “We’ve had the honor to work with some of the most experienced and dedicated hair restoration professionals in the world. If there is one important message for this Hair Loss Awareness Month, it’s that help is available.

There are thousands of professionals available and ready to help and it’s up to you to take the first step and pick up the phone.”
