Stroud supplier of wigs and hairpieces approved by NHS England to accept prescriptions
A hair loss specialist which has its head office in Thrupp, Stroud, is the latest supplier of wigs and hairpieces approved by NHS England to accept prescriptions.
Following a rigorous vetting process by NHS officials, Hairware’s collection of synthetic and human hair wigs are now recommended by the NHS supply chain for people who experience hair loss.
The NHS has a network of hair specialists across the country who are able to support hair loss sufferers with their prescription service.
“We’re delighted to be able to help even more women feel confident,” said Hannah Ashton, managing director of Hairware.
The UK distributor of Revlon wigs, Hairware also has two collections of its own, each collection comprising a broad range of constructions, colours and lengths.
Ms Ashton added: “We’re continually adding to our collections to enable our customers to have the latest trends.”
Hairware’s team of professionals are now travelling to homes and hospitals across the South West, alongside their private fitting rooms in Swindon and Beales of Bournemouth, to enable even more sufferers to find their style.
Hairware is primarily an importer, wholesaler and retailer of Revlon women’s wigs and hairpieces.
It has its origins as part of a company called Floridan, which distributed a variety of products, including wigs, hairpieces and costume jewellery.
In March, 2010 Hannah Ashton took over Hairware and has since expanded its offering to include a range of Hairware own-brand wigs as well as the established Revlon range.
