To enter the contest, interested contestants must submit a video starring themselves that is no more than five minutes in length.
The video should explain why they are a good candidate for the hair transplant as well as the positive impact the restoration procedure will have on their life.
Video submissions are being accepted through March 11th and the lucky winner will be announced on March 21st.
According to Dr. Mohebi, “There’s a lot of misinformation out there about hair transplantation. The aim of the contest is to make the process clearer, refute any misinformation out there and destigmatize the treatment in general. Nearly 60-million people in the United States suffer from hair loss.
It’s time for people to realize that not only is this a common problem but there are attainable solutions out there for them.
The awarding of the hair transplant will not only show how easy it is to undergo a hair restoration procedure but also how extraordinary the results can be.”
The winner will receive a complimentary hair transplant procedure valued between $10,000 and $20,000. (The final value will be determined by how much total area needs to be transplanted on the patient.)
Depending on the patient’s needs, the procedure will be either follicular unit extraction (FUE) in which the hair follicles are individually removed from the donor area or the more traditional “strip” method where the grafts are harvested via a strip of skin.
The final decision will be made following a consultation appointment between Dr. Mohebi and the winning patient.
