Images International Hosts Women’s Hair Loss Seminar in Bingham Farms With Miss America Finalist, Kayla Martell
Images International of Bingham Farms, MI, is sponsoring a no-obligation Women’s Hair Loss Seminar to educate women on the causes of hair loss and the newest treatments and solutions.
This seminar will be held at Images International in Bingham Farms on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Hair loss professionals will discuss the causes of women’s hair loss, review recent FDA approval for women’s treatment and advances in technology which now allow women so many options. Kayla Martell, 2011 Miss America Finalist, will be guest speaker and sharing her own experience of total hair loss.
Kayla Martell started losing her hair at age 11 due to Alopecia.
Understanding her condition was easy; going through teenage years bald was not.
Her Mother helped her build confidence and encouraged her to follow her dream of being a Miss America contender.
Kayla struggled with the decision to compete bald and after several attempts, and the advice of a judge, she sought a solution for her hair loss, won Miss Delaware, and went on to be a finalist in Miss America pageant.
Many celebrities flaunt their long, thick hair often created by hair extensions or wigs, yet no one ever talks about their thinning hair.
More than 30 million women in the US struggle with obvious hair loss. It seems to be a taboo subject.
Society accepts men losing their hair, but responds to women as if they are ill or have bad hygiene. “I am a spokesperson for women’s hair loss awareness.
There are solutions and women need to know how to find local experts that can help them” says Kayla.
Touring the US with Kayla is Rhonda McCarthy, national hairloss expert from Ft Lauderdale, FL. “Losing your hair can shake your confidence” says Rhonda. “Many women withdraw socially, feeling ashamed for how they look.
They may seek medical treatment for contributory illnesses, but that doesn’t solve the visual impact of hair loss.
They don’t know what to do, where to go or who to trust.
